The process of selling an established franchise business in not very different from selling any other small business. However there are few distinct differences. The major one being that unlike an independent small business you will more than likely need to get your Franchiser’s approval before the transfer to new ownership can take place. This includes the new owner being qualified by the Franchiser and going through the franchise disclosure process.
