Papa-N-Son’s
was established nine years ago in Augusta, GA, as Dino’s
Chicago Express by Chicago transplants, Dino and Bill
Dakuras. Their story is classic. Dino had recently graduated
from college and was working in corporate America in
Florida. Now, if you’ve ever known a Greek family, hundreds
of miles away is just too far to live from one another, so
Dino decided to move where his parents now live, in Augusta,
GA. For many years the family tossed around the idea of
opening a Chicago-style restaurant because getting Chicago
food down South was an extreme challenge. However, it wasn’t
until September of 2000, sipping coffee in Greek Town with
his cousin, that the question was asked, “Why not open a
Chicago
hot dog joint?” One phone call later and the rest is
history. Fortunately, The Dakuras Family has deep roots in
Chicago with family ties not only in the restaurant
business, but also in food distribution, and it was through
those ties Dino’s Chicago Express was born. After seven
years, the second location was opened and nine years later,
this exciting, unique concept is offered to a select group
of franchisees who share our passion for everything
Chicago.
You
don’t have to be from Chicago to own and operate a
successful Papa-N-Son’s restaurant. Our proprietary family
recipes and our training program provide all the information
and hands-on experience needed to serve up a perfect
Chicago-style dining experience. We have taken the headaches
and guesswork out of getting a Papa- N-Son’s franchise open
and we offer comprehensive support from day one.
