Canada’s largest smoothie and juice
bar is now open in the US
Portland-based Booster Juice USA has plans underway to open more
than 25 smoothie and juice bars in the greater Sacramento area.
Roseville, CA, June 6, 2006:
When you think
of market dominance and name brand recognition Booster Juice
clearly has it in Canada with over 150 locations from
Newfoundland to Vancouver. And now they’re set to do it again in
the US with retail locations already open in Phoenix, Orange
County, Boise and Park City and expansion slated in
Orlando/Tampa, San Francisco bay area, Oregon, Houston and New
York this summer.
“Smoothies
have always been a perfect fit for the healthy California
lifestyle, and our product is the next step forward in terms of
quality and delivery,” said Scott Buss, Regional Developer for
Booster Juice in Northern California and Northern Nevada. Plans
are to begin with local openings in the four-county Sacramento
area and quickly expand outward. Overall growth plans are to
open 25 stores in this market and another 15 in Fresno,
Stockton, Modesto, Reno, Carson City and Tahoe over the next 5-7
years
To provide the best locations possible to
franchise partners, Buss is working with local retail real
estate expert Jason Gallelli from Colliers International on site
selection. The Collier’s team is busy identifying potential

clubs, schools and office buildings and has submitted Letters of
Intent at several centers already.
Booster Juice is the healthy alternative not only
to fast food but other smoothie and juice bars. Non-fat
probiotic yogurt is made fresh daily at the local store, they
don’t use any sherbets and their sorbet is reduced sugar through
the use of a pre-biotic called Inulin (from the chicory root).
Even their juices are 100% pure with no added sugar and no food
colorings, a big plus in today’s fast food world. Buss sees
providing a healthier choice for smoothie consumers and a unique
menu with freshly prepared food items as the keys to success.
“Booster Juice offers high energy, all-natural smoothies, juices
and sandwiches – chicken or veggie Paninis and chicken
quesadillas – and this menu sets us apart from other offerings”
said Buss.
Retail stores range from 800 to 1400 square
feet. Booster Juice: www.boosterjuice.com also offers the
franchisee non-traditional or satellite stores and school lunch
programs that augment revenues during off-season months. This
business is ideal for the individual owner-operator or a group
of investors interested in securing several locations. Booster
Juice is unique in that it provides a turn-key operation with
the entire store arriving in a tractor-trailer, ready for the
owner to walk in and start
